Paris · Culture, welcome, transmission

A home for Afghan culture, in the heart of Paris.

خانه‌ای برای فرهنگ افغانستان، در قلب پاریس

Nawroz, Yalda, concerts, exhibitions, language classes, support for refugees: since 2018, we have kept Afghan culture alive in the town halls and venues of Paris. Today, we are building a permanent place for everyone who wants to discover, share and pass on this culture.

Changing how people see Afghanistan.

Its poetry, its music, its artists — and its women, who refuse to be silenced.

The Centre

A place for culture, welcome and free expression.

Afghanistan has no cultural centre in France. The Afghan Cultural Centre of Paris aims to fill this gap: a place open to Afghan women and men, to their children born here, and to everyone who wants to discover the country in a different light.

Arts & culture

Exhibitions, concerts, poetry evenings. A place where Afghan artists — in France and in exile — exhibit, perform and meet: painting, photography, calligraphy, crafts.

Our story

Since 2018, Afghan culture has lived in Paris — even without walls of its own.

In 2018, a team of young Afghans living in France — community workers, artists, journalists — imagined an Afghan cultural centre in Paris. Since then, concerts, Nawroz, Yalda and solidarity evenings have brought together hundreds of people in town halls, conservatories and venues across the region.
