President of EAA and Director of the Centre
About
Who is behind the Centre
The Centre is led by the association Enfants d'Afghanistan et d'Ailleurs (EAA), which has worked for more than ten years alongside Afghan women and men in exile: welcoming refugees, education, support for Afghan women students, and the defence of human rights.
A word from the director
“When I arrived in France in 2009, I found a second home here. But there was no place where Afghan culture could live, be passed on and be shared. Since 2018, with our volunteers, we have kept it alive in the town halls and venues of Paris. Today, we want to give it a home. A home where we remember the very best of Afghanistan, where women have a voice and where everyone is welcomed with dignity.”
Reza Jafari — President of EAA, Director of the Centre, 2024 laureate of the Stockholm World Peace Prize, President of Afghan Peace Dialogue
The team
A Franco-Afghan team of volunteers
From the start, the project was driven by young Afghans living in France — from community organisations, the arts and journalism. Today, the team brings together musicians, a doctor, teachers, students and activists who speak Dari, Pashto and French.
